Multi-omics Service for Human/Animal Viruses

Multi-omics Service for Human/Animal Viruses

Viruses are one of the major pathogens that cause diseases in animals, and along with changes in various environmental, ecological, and human behavioral factors, new zoonotic diseases are increasing year by year, and they greatly threaten the health and lives of humans and animals and bring harm and disaster to the healthy development of animal husbandry and agriculture as well as the balance of the natural ecological chain. However, the etiology of many emerging zoonotic diseases is often initially unknown, and there is a lack of systematic understanding of the infectivity of viruses, infection pathways, infection mechanisms, host immune responses to viral infections, and mechanisms by which viruses evade host immunity. For this reason, many new techniques have been applied, and one of the important tools is multi-omics.

Ace Therapeutics provides multi-omics services for human/animal viruses, mainly meta-virome, in addition to other omics such as proteomics.

Multi-Omics Service Options for Human/Animal Viruses

Meta-virome

We provide mata-virome sequencing and analysis services for many human/animal viruses. It can help you quickly and accurately identify all the viral compositions in your samples and is important not only in studies of virus discovery, virus traceability, and microbial early warning, but also in studies of virus origin and evolutionary patterns, genetic diversity, and geographic distribution.

Sample requirements

  • Stool ≥ 1 g
  • Intestinal contents ≥ 1 g
  • Tissue samples ≥ 2 g
  • Blood samples ≥ 5 mL (blood samples are recommended to send serum)
Do not repeatedly freeze and thaw during sample preservation, please use dry ice for transport when sending samples.
  • DNA/RNA and other nucleic acid samples ≥ 1 μg, concentration ≥ 50 ng/μL, OD260/280 = 1.8-2.0, ensuring DNA integrity without degradation.
For this type of sample, subsequent experiments can only be performed after the quality of the sample has been tested and passed.

The multi-omic analysis of human/animal viruses provides new ideas for disease treatment and lays the foundation for studies such as virus surveillance and resistance to existing viral antiviral drugs.
